What this means for you: When you open a Card Account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see a copy of your driver’s license or other identifying documents.

Can I have my Univision MasterCardPrepaid Card sent to a Post Office (P.O.) Box?

No.
For security reasons, it is a Federal mandate that the Univision MasterCard Prepaid Card can only be mailed to a verifiable physical U.S. street address or Puerto Rico address.

How long does it take to get my Card?

Once you enroll and are approved, your personalized Univision MasterCard Prepaid Card should arrive in the mail at your home within 10 business days.

Can I get a Card if I have bad credit or no credit history?

Yes.

Since this is a prepaid Card and you only spend the money you put on your Card, no credit check is performed or required.

NOTE: Enrollment success and receiving your Card is based on verifying your personal information including: your first name and last name, verifiable U.S. street address (No P.O. Boxes) or Puerto Rico mailing address, date of birth and one valid ID document.

You may need to provide two valid documents including:
one (1) government issued Photo ID with your name, photo, date of birth and expiration date

– for example a Drivers License, Passport or Matricula Consular.

AND

one (1) Bill with your name and address – for example electric bill, cable bill or a phone bill.

Do I need to have a bank account to get a Card?

No.
You do not need a bank account to get a Card or use your Card.

Is the Univision MasterCardPrepaid Card a credit card?

No.
The Univision MasterCard Prepaid Card is a reloadable and reusable prepaid Card.
Since it is a prepaid Card, you only spend the money you put on your Card.

To use your Card everywhere Debit MasterCard is accepted - worldwide, you must first add money:
- Sign up for our Free Direct Deposit program; if you are paid by check(s) from your employer or benefits provider such as Social Security, Disability, Tax Refund and others.
- Add cash; at thousands of MoneyGram and Western Union retail partners nationwide.

When you use your Univision MasterCard Prepaid Card, the amount of your purchase is deducted from your Card Account balance.

My friend doesn't have internet access but wants to enroll for the card – what can she do?

She can fill out the attached form and mail it to the address included in the form. However, we do want to inform you that the online enrollment process is much faster, so when possible, we suggest you enroll online rather than by mailing in the form.

Does using my Univision MasterCardPrepaid Card build my credit rating?

No.
Because it's a prepaid Card and you only spend the money you put on your Card, your credit rating is not affected.No credit check is performed or required.

NOTE: Spending and payment activity is not reported to U.S. credit reporting agencies nor does the Univision MasterCardPrepaid Card build credit history.

WHAT IF I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH MY UNIVISION MASTERCARD PREPAID CARD?

Additional Cardholders

Can I get additional Cards for family and/or friends?

Yes.
Univision offers you up to 2 (two) additional Cards for friends and family for free. You can use another Card to share either all or part of your money with your spouse, your parent living overseas, or your son or daughter that has gone to school in a different state. Once you have your own Card, you can enroll to add additional Cards either online or by calling customer service.

- All additional cardholders must be age 13 or older; each additional Card will be embossed with a unique name and Card account number.
- Daily and monthly Card usage and frequency limits are set on an overall account level; meaning that all Cards within one account share the accounts' limits.

NOTE: Each time a purchase is made, that amount is deducted from your overall Card Account balance.

NOTE: The primary cardholder is responsible for all transactions and fees incurred by themselves, any authorized person and any additional cardholder(s) on the account according to the terms of the Cardholder Agreement. The primary cardholder is required to notify Univision Card Services to revoke permission for any person previously authorized to use their Card.

How can I remove a secondary Cardholder from my account?

There are several ways to remove a secondary or tertiary cardholder from an account.

- You may destroy their Card(s); so they no longer have access to the account or the money in the account.
- You may call Customer Service to revoke a cardholder from an account.
- You may spend all the money in the account until you have depleted all the funds in the account.

NOTE: When revoking cardholders from an account, Univision may also revoke the primary cardholders' Card and issue a new Card with a different Card number. The primary cardholder is wholly responsible for the use of each Card on an account according to the terms of the Cardholder Agreement.

How do I sign up for Free Direct Deposit?

1. When you receive your Card in the mail, simply complete the Direct Deposit form attached to your welcome letter and give it to your payroll department. Choose how much money you'd like to add to your Univision Prepaid Card account – you can choose all of your pay (100%), or a fixed dollar amount to be added each pay period. The choice is yours.

2. Login to your account to print out your customized Direct Deposit Form. Sign the Form and bring it to your employer's payroll department or your benefits provider.

What is the fee to use Direct Deposit?

There is no fee.
Direct Deposit is Free to sign up for and use.It's the fastest and safest way to add money to your Card.

Can I use Direct Deposit for one-time deposits?

Yes
You can use Univision's Free Direct Deposit to add your tax refund or other one-time payments from companies and government benefit agencies that offer Direct Deposit.

- Use the Routing Number and Direct Deposit Account Number (DDA) provided on your Direct Deposit form.

NOTE: Do not use your 16-digit Card Account number (located on the front of your Card) in place of the Routing and DDA numbers.

Can I use Direct Deposit to add my tax refund to my account?

Yes.
You can have your tax refund added directly to your Card Account by:

1. Enter routing number 031101169 on line 12b if you're filing a 1040EZ OR line 74b if filing a 1040
2. Select "checking" on line 12c on the 1040EZ OR line 74c on the 1040
3. Add your personalized 13-digit "Direct Deposit Account#" on line 12d on the 1040EZ OR line 74d on the 1040.
- To get this number look for the 13-digit DDA# on the bottom of the check.

Once your employer stops paying you or your government benefit ends, your Direct Deposit will automatically stop.

- To restart Direct Deposit with another employer or government benefit agency, simply fill out a new Direct Deposit form and submit it to your new employer or benefit agency.

The choice is yours:

It depends on how you add money:

- When adding cash at retail locations, your money will be available typically within 30-60 minutes.
- For Direct Deposit, your money is normally available on the day it is received from your employer/check provider.

- On the front of your Card, is the expiration date for your Card.You may use your Card until that expiration date.

- If your Card Account has a zero balance at the time your Card expires, the account will be closed and cannot be renewed or reloaded.You will need to enroll for a new Card.

What is the Personal Identification Number (PIN)?

A PIN is a 4-digit personalized, secure code; which is used to get cash.

No.
But you can purchase gasoline by presenting your Card to the cashier and signing for the payment, before fueling your vehicle.

Absolutely!
You may shop online and everywhere Debit MasterCard is accepted - worldwide!

NOTE: Most websites will ask for your Card's 3-digit security code; which is located on the back of your Card, near the signature panel.

Can I use my Univision Prepaid Card to rent a car?

Yes, but:
Most rental car companies do not accept Prepaid Cards to "reserve" vehicles, although most typically accept them for final payment after the rental period and vehicle return.
Some rental car companies may offer an "open end" transaction; meaning your Card Account may be "authorized" (have money held) for more money than the planned/estimated cost of the total car rental bill.

NOTE: "Open-end" transactions cover additional or last minute charges i.e., refueling, car damage or extra days.The rental car company may place a hold on these funds for as long as 60 days. Your Univision Prepaid Card can typically be used to pay for therental car bill after the total amount of the rental car bill has been finalized

Can I use my Univision Prepaid Card to book a hotel room?

Yes, but:
Most hotels do not accept Prepaid Cards to "make a reservation", although most typically accept them for final payment upon checkout.
Some hotels may offer an "open end" transaction; meaning your Card Account may be "authorized" (have money held) for more money than the planned/estimated cost of the hotel bill .

NOTE: "Open end" transactions cover additional or last minute charges i.e., movie rental, mini-bar, extra nights.The hotel may place a hold on these funds for as long as 30 days.

What if I want to make a purchase which costs more than my Card balance?

Because it's a prepaid Card, you only spend the money you put on your Card; each time you make a purchase, that amount is deducted from your Card Account balance.

- If you try to purchase an item of greater value than your available Card balance, your Card may be declined.

NOTE: Some merchants offer 'split tender' transactions; meaning you will need to provide the merchant with a second payment method i.e., cash, check, or a credit Card, to cover the difference.

How do I dispute a transaction?

If you suspect an error, have questions about a transaction or wish to dispute a transaction that has been posted to your Card Account; please complete and mail a dispute form, which can be found on the top right hand corner of the Transaction History page in "My Account".

You will be required to provide the following information:
- Your full name, physical mailing address, home and/or cell phone number and email address
- Your Univision MasterCardPrepaid Card 16-digit Card number; located on the front of your Card
- A description of the error or the transaction you are questioning. Explain as clearly as you can why you believe it is an error or why you need more information
- The dollar amount of the suspected error; in U.S. Dollars.

What is the amount I can earn for referring a friend

You will earn a $10.00 credit to your account, and the new cardholder will earn a $5.00 credit to their account. The credit is paid to both parties within 7 days after the new cardholder deposits money to their new account.

Occasionally, billers don't accept Cards as a form of payment.In this case, you can login to your online account and schedule a check payment.We recommend you schedule your payments at least five (5) days before your payment is due.Payments are processed immediately and cannot be cancelled once submitted.

NOTE: This is not a "personal check" so if your biller requires a personal check or a money order, do NOT use this service.

There are a few payees that are discouraged, but you may schedule payments at your own risk:
- Internal Revenue Service (IRS) or any state/government agency
- Court ordered i.e., alimony or child support
